COVID-19 Update — Moving to Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois Plan

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 28, 2020

Tomorrow, the City of Decatur will be moving from Phase 2 to Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan.  Many more activities are going to be permitted during the coming month than what we had experienced during the previous two.  The City of Decatur is committed to helping you take your business outside.  The City has simplified our application and process to allow restaurants, bars, and even retailers to move their businesses outside onto public property in order to expand their services during the current Covid-19 crisis we are in.  Please frequent and support our local businesses.

Everything is better outside as they say.  For those businesses which have their own parking lots and ability to expand outside, the City is allowing that without our direct approval or involvement.  For those businesses which need to use public property or rights of way or just need assistance with traffic control on their own property please visit our website www.decaturil.gov or contact city staff for assistance.  Remember please follow all applicable licensing, life safety, and social distancing rules and guidelines.

Please visit the COVID-19 Business Impact page for more details.
