National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
By declaration of Congress, each year the second week of April is designated as National Public Safety Telecommunicators’ Week and is dedicated to the men and women who serve as public safety telecommunicators.
This week honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the citizens of the United States.
The Emergency Communications Center recognizes the hard work of our ECS personnel during this week and celebrates with donated giveaways, a mayoral proclamation and a buffet lunch.
