The Decatur Police Departments Criminal Investigations Division is commanded by Lt. Cody Moore.

The Criminal Investigations division as a whole consists of a total of 50 sworn and civilian employees all of whom are dedicated to the Decatur Police Departments mission statement and creed; Duty, Pride, Dedication. The criminal Investigations Division has 3 investigative bureaus: Adult Investigations Bureau, Juvenile Investigations Bureau and Street Crimes-Narcotics Bureau. The Division also has one civilian support unit; The Crime Analysis Unit.
