Decatur Police Crime Analysis Unit
The Crime Analysis Unit was derived in 1990 and is staffed by Senior Crime Analyst Kimberly Chervinko and Crime Analyst Ginger Edwards. The unit is supported by one clerical worker.
The unit's main function is to act as an information conduit. The group of participants in the communication network grows on a daily basis. We collect, collate, analyze and distribute information on crime patterns, trends, and possible suspects. It is our goal to share intelligence data with both internal and external users; all to aid in the investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of those breaking the law.
