What Can I See With This Map?
The contents, or 'layers' available to view in the map are shown in the Map Contents window on the left hand side of the map. To see a layer, you will need to turn it on by checking the box next to its name. Some layers, like Roads and Railroads and Imagery, are turned on by default. Layers can be turned off by un-checking their box.

Gray layer names in the Map Contents window are layers that cannot be turned on at the current zoom level. For instance, to turn on the Macon Co. Tax Parcels layer, you must zoom in to the 4th smallest scale or below. Likewise, the Cadaster layer may not be viewed unless you are in the 1st or 2nd zoom level. As you zoom in and out of the map, you will notice these layers names change colors indicating when they are available to be viewed.

To see a sample of the layer color or layer shape that is displayed on the screen, similar to a Legend in a traditional map, click on the (+) button left of the layer name.
