The City of Decatur is a home rule municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Illinois.

It operates under the Council/Manager form of government with the elected Council consisting of the Mayor and six councilmen.

The Boards and Commissions along with the membership of them are set forth in Exhibit A.

The total operating budget for the General Fund is approximately $55,523,722.00 with approximately 516 full time employees and 11 part time employees.
