FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LAKE DECATUR WATER LEVEL CHANGE ANTICIPATED
DECATUR - The City of Decatur Department of Water Management anticipates the water level of Lake Decatur to increase by 12 inches during the next 24 hours.
This change in the level is due to preparations to resume dredging operations.
The purpose of this announcement is to notify those who might be affected by sudden water level changes. These include boaters, fishermen, dock owners, other recreational users, and adja-cent land owners. The City cannot predict all changes in lake and river levels, nor can it estimate with precision the magnitude of such changes. Users of Lake Decatur should therefore be alert to significant changes in water levels, and take appropriate precautions.
